Scubadiving

Although not really a known diving destination, there are some decent dive sites available close to Lisbon. Just 40 km away from the city, the town of Sesimbra has a number of Padi Dive Centres, two of them with a five star rating.

With its' south facing bay, diving is available during the greater part of the year. Visibilities range from 8 to 15 meters during winter months, with a water temperature of about 15º C.
The above photo was taken about a month ago, at a depth of 12 meters. The dive site was Pedra do Leão, Sesimbra.

Rock in Rio Lisboa 2008

The dates for Rock in Rio Lisboa 2008 are May 30, 31; June 1, 5, 6. Amy Winehouse, James Morrison, Metallica and Machine Head are a few of the several bands that will participate on the rock festival. For more information visit the official site.

Delta Tejo Festival

The 2nd edition of Delta Tejo will occur at 18, 19 and 20th July. Mariza is one of the stars of this festival. More details soon...
Apart from good music you can also enjoy one of the most breath taking views over river Tagus, since the Festival will be held in Alto da Ajuda, Monsanto park.
